Day trips to Zakopane from Kraków
The classic day trip covers the 110 km, roughly two-hour road journey from Kraków to Zakopane and back, usually taking in Krupówki, the Gubałówka funicular or a Kasprowy Wierch cable car ride, with some itineraries extending to Morskie Oko or a Podhale thermal bath. A single day leaves limited time at altitude, and dated cable car and Morskie Oko parking tickets can sell out in high season.
