Things to do
Hiking and trekking in the Tatras
Marked trails inside Tatra National Park lead to summits and lakes including Giewont at 1,894 m, with chains on the final section and real lightning risk on exposed ridges, Rysy at 2,499 m, the highest point on the Polish side, and the Kościeliska and Chochołowska valleys, the latter known for crocuses in April. An entry ticket is required, and walkers must stay on the marked routes.
