Sleigh rides around Zakopane

Kulig sleigh rides take place in winter in the Podhale villages around Zakopane, usually a convoy of horse-drawn sleighs through snow-covered lanes ending at a highlander barn with a bonfire, mulled wine and live folk music. Rides need reliable snow cover on the ground, so they run only once conditions allow, generally January to March, and dates can shift at short notice. Warm clothing is essential.
