Getting to and around Zakopane
Zakopane sits 110 km and about two hours by road from Kraków, the nearest airport being Kraków KRK; getting there is by car, coach or shared shuttle, since there is no direct train from the airport. Within the area, the PKL cable car, the Gubałówka funicular and local minibuses cover the main sights, while reaching Morskie Oko or the deeper valleys always means the final stretch on foot.
