Day trips to the Slovak High Tatras
Cross-border trips reach the Slovak side of the Tatras, typically taking in Štrbské Pleso lake at 1,346 m, the cable car to Lomnický štít from Tatranská Lomnica, the Bachledka treetop walk above Ždiar, and sometimes Belianska cave or Poprad and Kežmarok. A passport or ID card is needed for the border, and some sites, including Belianska cave, close on certain weekdays out of season.
